Thanks for the excellent feedback on the various factors that effect SENDING differences. I've always focused so much on trying to copy that I never realized how much difference could exist when you use a "non-cw" rig like the 706 to send code! It truly is a huge difference. I'll have a little fun tonite exploring the modes and adjusting (the Icom) just to get a better feel of the effect of mode, spacing, lag time etc. OR maybe I'll just get the external amp finished and get back to my smooth as silk K2 sooner! Thanks again for excellent feed back.
