I don't have much of an opinion on Q signals on the phone bands .... 
Used properly they are ok when
they take less time than the "spoken equivalent"!

73's makes me cringe ..... even more than the occasional use of 10-4!
 Far as I'm concerned it is   7 3 -  not seventy three.
