[Elecraft] KPA100 in EC2 question - any reverse steps?

Hi folks -
I am at page 21 of the KPA100 manual. I will be placing the am in my EC2 
with the KAT100. My K2 is number 4667. On page 21 it begins to discuss 
the internal ribbon cable connections.

My question is this. If I follow the KAP100 manual will I have to 
reverse any of the steps from this point on if I will be using the amp 
externally? Good advice on the reflector seems to be to build the amp, 
remove the current K2 top with the battery and AT etc and check out all 
amp functions as if the final product would be a K2/100.

I am just wondering if this means that any steps will have to be 
reversed or "desoldered" when I get to the remote connection stage.
