[Elecraft] kit help in Naperville/Aurora IL area

I'm a tech working on my upgrade to general.  I'm
almost certain on getting an elecraft QRP CW rig (why
yes you did hear QRP CW!!).  I am on the fence of
either a K1 or KX-1 (K1 if I can afford it).  I have
some experience woth soldering and electronics, but I
do not feel comfortable enough to takle an elecraft
kit on my own nor do I have the proper tools to build
one as well.  I would like to know if there are any
experienced builders (if you have an elecraft yourself
that would be even better) in the nearby area that
would be able to help me build a kit, when the time
comes that I can purchase one of course.  Thanks and
