Dan,
The SSB adapter itself is not used for transmitting CW in any case, although
the BFO signal does pass through the SSB option in all cases. The signal
enters the KSB2 and flows through C42 and then through D3 (which is forward
biased by the TXC signal) then through Q1 and back to the RF board through
C39 - this path is the same no matter which filter is selected.
The BFO frequency will be determined by the filter that is used for FL1, but
the K2 keeps an orderly account of the various BFOs and filters so the
microprocessor knows how to preserve the proper signal pitch as the filters
are changed (within 20 Hz or so). Bottom line is that as long as the signal
being copied is set to zero beat, the transmit frequency will be correct.
