Dan, et. al.,

I have a dialup connection and photos and other large attachmets don't
work well. The 160 antenna has been up since 1990. It is constructed of
Rohn 45 tower, guyed at three levels with Phillystran. There is a Rohn
insulated section inserted with the insulator at 28 feet above ground.
This is the feed point. The tower part is 140 feet tall with an
additional section of 4 inch aluminum irrigation pipe out the top for
tuning. There are eight full sized quarterwave radials at the 28 foot
level, sloping down to ten feet above ground at the ends. The antenna
matches perfectly at resonance. I never run more than 100 watts on the
hf bands. There is no need for high power with this antenna. My QTH is
located on a ridge which is the highest point in the county and is at
least 300 feet above average terrain for 20 miles in every direction. I
routinely work EU through the "East Coast Curtain" with 100 watts and
this antenna. I have no doubt that I could have worked the TZ5A station
with a little more persistence. I am blessed to be able to live on 23
acres in the country and be able to have good antennas.

Thanks for your interest.

73 and Merry Christmas,
