[Elecraft] IF Alignment

I am at the IF alignment on page 64.  Passed all tests with the exception of
the BFO low frequency, which is 4913.05.  On the high side I get 4917.5
which gives me a range of ~4.45khz.

I continued on and passed the BFO alignment and VFO linerarization.  Next is
the IF alignment, where I cannot hear a birdie on 7mhz.  I have an XG1, and
can hear a signal at 7.040, but only at the 50 microvolt level. One
microvolt is not audible.  I peaked L34, which is about 1 turn down from the
top of the can.  I peaked L1 and L2 on the signal from the XG1.  While a bit
louder I still get no movement on the s-meter and the level is very low,
still barely audible.  No birdie to be heard at 7mhz.

The RF gain control seems wonky as well. The control placed at about 2
o'clock provides the loudest signal, rotating it clockwise past this point
only decreases the gain.

Any pointers would be appreciated!
