For a number of reasons, not legal since I was unaware of any 
limitations, I have always used ISDN for my remote base operations.

Total privacy and security (you have to not only know the phone numbers, 
but the passwords as well).

Much better sound quality (good enough fr PSK).

Redundancy.

Better availability in rural areas.
