Geoff:
   I've asked the chap to turn off the dogs, but all I get is another 
receipt confirmation.  This has got to be the stupidest and most 
inconsiderate kind of internet behavior, and I cannot believe the chap 
has allowed it to go on this long.  I have also written Eric directly 
asking that the recipient be removed from the list if it doesn't stop.  
This is, of course, Eric's decision, and I don't think he will take it 
immediately without trying first to rid us of the problem in a less 
drastic manner.

   It is hard to understand getting these receipt confirmations at all, 
but even harder to understand why we are getting 4 of them for each 
digest.
