There is another means of loop feed that was described on a British site
about small loops.

Starting on the side opposite the side normally fed, I believe it was, (by
the series tuning capacitor) wind some insulated center of the coax in a
spiral around the circumference of Loop tubing, back to the side (normal
feedpoint) opposite the capacitor.  This was a kind of gamma match, ideal
for coax feed.
Better search that "small loops" on Google to find the exact description in
case my memory is not perfect.
