[Elecraft] XG1 BNC connector

I'm building an XG1 and the center pin of  the BNC connector just won't
fit in the PB board holes. The other pin is mighty tight. The center pin
seems to be formed as a tiny U-shaped channel and might succumb to some
careful squeezing, otherwise I'm gonna work on it with a needle file and
hope I don't bung it up too much.

Anyone encounter the same situation and prefer one method to the other?
