Hello !

First of all, i will thank to You all for the nice response to my question
and very good tips to do it....
The reason why i want 300 KHZ on K 1 is many:

The K1 har , like KX1 has very low power consum ( KX 1 only 34 ma ) , (
K1 some higher )
and i often use the rig in the mountain, that means i must bring the
batteries and all eqvipment i want to use, carry with me, going on
foot, in hours.
I have a Yaesu FT-817 , it use 450 ma/h , so i must bring many Kg with
batteries to work this rig for a week in the mountain.

And my main problem is,
I mostley work CW on 3500 - 3600 , but i want to listen to the QST
transmission on 3725 here in LA on sundays
and sometimes on other hams around these freq.

I think it was a great idea to build the K1 , and have a rig that i can
use i the CW segments of the band ,
and listen til the traffic ( QST) on the SSB segment of the band
wirhout to use more than one rig.

Thats the reason to what i want to bring me only one rig and only one /
AH batteri.
( If i want to use the 817 , i must carry 3 or four batteries with me).

May be the is another rigs who can work om CW in the 3.500 -3600 and
impossible to listen on the rest of the band ?
