         Has anyone used the VW Solar Panels?  They go on eBay for about 
$20 including shipping.
Here's a common description:

You are biddng on a volkswagen 12 Volt solar panel battery charger. This is 
a panel used by volkswagen to maintain a full charge in new cars before 
delivery. Part # 1C0-915-687. Panel rated at 18.8 volts 3.2 watts @170 m 
amps. Will work with any 12 volt neg. ground system. Perfect for 
maintaining battery charge in boats. I use one in my sail boat.  Suction 
cups hold panel to any window to get best exposure to sun.  Will not 
overcharge your battery.

Thinking about trying one of these for Field Day and wonder
if anyone has used one?
