[Elecraft] OT: Measuring Wire Antennas

This weekend I decided to build a two element wire beam for 30 
meters, since 1) that's where the cool kids hang out doing CW, and 2) 
the K2 receiver is so good it let's me hear things I can't work with 
my existing wire -- esp. lately with Europe booming into California 
on many nights.

Anyway, I discovered the trusty hemostats that were an invaluable 
"third hand" during construction of the K2, also work great for 
clamping a tape measure to the wire when trying to mark off specific 
lengths by myself. Tie the wire off to a fence post, clamp the tape 
on, walk backwards and mark with a sharpie. Viola!

Perhaps this is old hat, but it worked so well I thought I'd pass it along.
