[Elecraft] K2 Alignment and Test Part II

Hi All,

I've just completed section 2 of the RF Board on my K2.. All the allignment steps 
have gone as planned until I get to the "IF Filter, and 40M Band Pass Filter 
Alignment"

I was able to find the 'weak internally generated signal' just above 7000.00, but this 
signal is very weak. When I connect the antenna and do the Band Pass Filter 
alignment, I was not able to find a signal on 40M, and even when I try to tune in a 
carrier from the KX1/dummy load, the signal is very weak.

I've had to give up to come to work, and still need to look through the trouble 
shooting section, and double check component values, but was wondering 
whether anyone can point me in right direction. I assume that after these 2 
alignments I should have a 'functioning receiver' on 40M ?
