[Elecraft] Elecraft CW net Report for May 23rd 2004

Howdy Folks,
    If you missed ECN/1 or /2 this evening you missed some fun.  The bands 
were open and the QSP stations got a little challenge :)  Thanks go out to 
Tom, N0SS and Dan, AA0NI for the superb job at relaying them in.  I heard 
you John but Tom was in a pileup for a while so I couldn't respond.
    The 20 meter net was going along nicely until some one in a little 
country on the Persian Gulf decided we were fair game.  A71BX in Qatar was 
calling on 14050 kHz and everybody and his brother was using their 
multiple stacks of Yagis each running a separate linear to draw down 
enough power to make the salmon gasp for air behind Bonneville Dam.  I did 
get a few check ins between the exchanges but it got too tough to continue.

The list for 20 meters is as follows:

If I missed anyone I am sorry.  40 meters was loud and 20 meters was even 
louder but I should have better ears for someone my age!  I'll try harder 
next week.  Remember June 6th is the first anniversary of the Elecraft CW 
Net.  Hopefully propagation will be as good or better than this evening so 
we can welcome everyone back.  That will be tough but fun because there 
are 173 of you on the QNI list!  It would be chaos but I know with the 
likes of Tom and Dan and a few others we could check in that many.  It 
might last for an hour and a half but what a party :)
