         Right idea but wrong numbers.  The 6 dB passband would go from 
1700 Hz on
the high end to 300 Hz on the other sideband (1700 - 2000 = -300).  But you
would probably still hear 700 Hz on the wrong sideband because the K2's
filter shape factor is fairly broad.
