Tom,

It won't make much difference if the turns are crossed, so wind away and
don't unwind unless you are really going to get hung up on the appearance of
the toroids (in that case, I recommend that you do it over and over again
until it looks 'right' to you <G>).

Crossing over the turns will not change the inductance - the inductance of a
toroid is determined by the number of times the wire passes through the
center and not how neatly they are formed.  The inter-turn capacity may
change a wee bit, but not enough to cause any noticable difference at the
frequencies used in the K2.
