Most queries are answered by someone in a hour or less, sometimes it takes
little longer, especially on a weekend.

The default settings were derived from a lot of intense operation by the
field test team, and seem to be good for most people.
The KDSP2's noise reduction adds some distortion to voice signals, depending
on the settings. Proper setting is a tradeoff between noise, distortion
artifacts, and the individual user's subjective perceptions.
I usually leave it off unless the band conditions warrant turning it on.
Other people like to leave it on all the time.
The best advice I can give is to follow the manual, and experiment with
different settings until you get the settings that work best for you.
