I've been reading the list this way for months. Perhaps they should be
re-branded "Elecraft forum" instead of "Archives."

You can also read it directly on the qth.net archive page here:
http://mailman.qth.net/pipermail/elecraft/2004-May/thread.html
The main difference is that posts appear immediately rather than with a
short delay for AC6RM's site. In both cases you need to update your
"Favorites" list each month since they are both archived by month.

reply to a list posting direct from the archives without copying and
pasting the message subject and any quoted text. If it could be done, it
would be just about perfect.

If you use the qth.net archive and simply click on my address
immediately
to the right of my name above, your E-mail program should open a message "To"
the list address with the same Subject. It will not copy the text but that's
a simple matter to Copy before you Reply and then Paste in your reply note.
Not every list is set up this way but this one is. If anything ever happens
to qth.net, the Yahoo Groups lists are set up exactly as you described above.
Of course in all cases, you can elect to get the E-mails directly.

I am subscribed to many reflectors and this is the way I read all of
them without getting a single piece of E-mail directly.
