Humph! I also believe that "silence is Golden"... And I have since 1952. 

Like Dave, I also have a mic and it works FB. I had an SSB QSO with another
K2 owner to check out our rigs, Oh... Only 2 or 3 years ago...  I still have
the mic. Somewhere. I think I saw it a few weeks ago in the junk box, or was
it....?

I know other ops who have lost track of their keys. 

I guess that's why we have both phone and CW bands...
