[Elecraft] Any advice on the OHR WM-2 QRP wattmeter?

I'm sure you'll find lots of good comments about it, Doug. In the past,
there have been a lot of discussion about it on this reflector.
I don't have one myself, so I'll leave it to those with first-hand
experience to offer you more detail.
I use a meter with a much wider range that was designed by Wes Hayward,
W7ZOI, and was described in QST, June, 2001. It covers 100 watts down to
literally microwatts, making it useful for measuring the output of low-level
oscillators into 50 ohm loads, monitoring emissions from receivers via the
antenna port, etc. As well as transmitter outputs up to 100 watts. It's also
good to at least 500 MHz.
KANJI improved on it with a digital readout and other enhancements in QEX
(May/Jun 2002).
Like most "more flexible" things, it's not as simple or direct to build and
use as the OHR. The OHR is probably just fine if your interest in is
checking the power output a rig producing a few hundred milliwatts on up to
the upper limit of the meter. Also, I am not aware of any kits of parts you
can buy for the W7ZOI meter.

Hello all,
Does anyone have any experience with building or operating the Oak
Hills Research model WM-2 QRP wattmeter? It looks like a good QRP meter
that would be a nice tool for building and operating Elecraft radios. What
can you tell me about it? Or, do you know of a better meter to recommend?
Thanks in advance.
