Members Of Elecraft Board,
I need some guidance on hooking up an Linear to a K2/100. Having never used an amplifier before and looking at the back of the amp and then the back of the K2 several questions come to mind!
This amp is an old tube style amplifier with three RCA style connectors for
1 - Ant. Relay
2 - RF Input
3 - ALC
Then there is a fourth connector labeled RF output in a PL-239 style connector. (I know that hooks to the antenna!!! LOL)
Plus a grounding lug.
That is all that is on the amp back panel.
On the K2/100 nothing is labeled like this.
How does one hook up a K2 to this type linear.
I do have a high power manual tuner to put in line and I am guessing that goes between the amp and the antenna.
I read about Harbach Soft start key - is that used only for CW keying? or do I need this for SSB voice too?
What do I hook where to the K2/100?!
Will I be able to hook up and use the Elecraft Transverters if I have a linear hooked to the K2/100?
Can Anyone who has tried this Please offer Help, guidance and information regarding all this?!.
Thanks
Paul
