It's a matter of your scope's vertical sensitivity, John, assuming the =
scope
is rated to display signals of 7 MHz. Few scopes aren't, these days, =
with
most of them rated for 50 MHz or higher. But few scopes have enough =
vertical
sensitivity to display such small signals as those from the XC1. =20
The maximum output of the XC1 is 50 microvolts. That's 0.00005 volts. I =
have
an HP 1740A scope and it's maximum vertical sensitivity is 5 mV or 0.005
volts for one division of deflection. So the XC1 only produces about =
1/100
of a division of deflection at full output.=20
Just for fun, I put the XC1 on the scope and turned it on. I could see a
distinct widening of the trace when it was switched on at 50 microvolts, =
but
there's not enough signal for the sweep to sync on so it just looks like =
a
slightly fatter trace.=20

should I see anything on a scope if I hook it to the bnc output with the =
xg1
on? I did but saw nothing=20
