Maxim's web site seems to indicate that that is still a good

They may be able to point you to some valid sources.  In addition, they 
have the cool "request a sample" button that you might want to check out.

Now the packaging may not be in a DIP package any more.  If it is a smaller 
package format, there are carriers you can solder the package to, that will 
then plug into a DIP socket.
