[Elecraft] Reflector name change? - NOT

I enjoy the posts here - and often delete ALL of them - unless they are direct
replies to my own questions for the list.

The list is alot like a virtual ham club - and there's always something to be
learned by someone who is trying something new. I only subscribe to this list,
and the buddipole list since they are the two modes of ham radio closest to my
heart. I would not have known about the BPL response form on the FCC site had I
not heard it here first.

I also appreciate all of the different ways members strive for perfection in
the design and modification of the Elecraft radios (even soldering). It's what
has enabled me to build a radio I could never afford to buy if it was mass
produced.

After reading the list for a couple months before making the plunge, I knew I
should have a 'good' soldering iron - not just a $20 grounded tip iron. It is
this knowledge that armed me and that played the key role in the tools I bought
(all from Radio Shack, btw). I had a static safe environment for building my K2
and all of it's modules, and a temp-controlled iron. My solder was 60/40. I
wanted to make certain that it could be done with readily available tools in
the U.S. - and I proved to myself that it can. I had no problems with ESD, and
the solder station proved itself worthy from start to finish (even this last
weekend with KSB2).

I agree - at times things can be over-discussed. But my horizons would not be
stretched if I never encountered these discussions here. Let me also add that I
also get a good workout clicking 'Delete' every day because of the Elecraft
list.

I'm just glad that we can talk about anything and everything having to do with
our great Elecraft radios.

72/73,
Daniel
