[Elecraft] K2 - KSB2 mods

I use a Heil HC4 mike with my K2. I always use VOX. Had trouble keying the
rig and the audio was not up to par (to my standards for contesting). Did
the following:
- Changed R14 to 10K. That made the vox work fine.
- Changed the caps per KI6WX for 2.5KHZ bandwidth. That made the audio sound
much less restrictive.
- Replaced RP5 with the resistor values as per G3RXQ's mod. This gives the
audio much more punch. I use SSbC 4-1 for pileups and contesting. Now the
audio sounds similar to a TS-950SDX and an FT-920. Has anyone tried
different values of resistors to get more compression? I like that now I can
increase compression for contesting and use less compression for rag
chewing.

Is there any reason or advantage for the following mods?
- Install 4.7K resistor in series between /COMPO and U3 pin 6 per G3RXQ
- Increased gain mod per KI6WX to add 2N2222 to output of U5
- Reduced IMD with 2.2K between Pin1 and 2 of U5 per KI6WX
- Change values of C32 from .1 to .00056uf and C31 from 2.2 to .47uf per
KD2BD

Tnx for any feedback.
