Today the postman brought K2 #4086 to its new home in Scott Depot, WV. It=
=20
came with KSB2 and K160RX modules installed.

This K2 (as a kit) was shipped on March 3, 2004, to Frank, W6NEK, and three=
=20
weeks later it is mine. When I first turned it on using just the center=20
conductor of a 10-foot piece of coax thrown across the bed as an antenna, I=
=20
heard HK=D8GU on 12-M CW. A quick run to the shack netted me a new=20
band-country courtesy of the K2.

If you ever have an opportunity to own a piece of equipment built by W6NEK,=
=20
jump at the chance. This radio looks like it was mass-produced. Frank has=
=20
done a most professional job in building it and it plays beautifully. If=20
he puts anything else up for sale, you may just be bidding against me as=20
I've never seen such fine work.

K2 #4086 will be the Big Brother to K2 #3488 which is slowly coming to life=
=20
on my work bench and providing me with hours of enjoyment already. I can't=
=20
wait though to try out #4086 in the WPX contest this weekend.
