Henning,

All the DL7MAJ bandpass filter mods aren't really necessary for EU
operation. The only mod I have found necessary is the 7 MHz tighter
bandpass mod developed by Elecraft. I will keep until 2009 when the
broadcasters will move up in frequency.

The only other filter I have changed is the 10/12 m filter, but that has
nothing to do with EU. It is just because I find it a bit narrow if you
want to use most of the 10 m band for e.g. satellite operation. After a
lot of experimentation I have come up with a very simple mod to this
filter. The mod is based on the K2 serial # 3000+ filter that you have.
I want it unchanged on 12 m and wider on 10 m. The mod is to add a
1.5-2.2 pF capacitor acorss terminals 4 and 7 of relay K6. This
increases the coupling on 10 meters. The capacitor is shorted for 12 m
operation. This is an idea which has been taken from the DL7MAJ mods.
The filter has to be tuned by going back and forth between the bands as
the settings influence each other. This is in contrast to the pre-mod
filter.

Other mods I would do is the PLL temperature compensation (which your K2
missed by some 15 serial numbers it seems) and eventually the CW keying
mod with software upgrade.

This is all on http://www.qsl.net/la3za/K2/mod.html under "1. General
mods". But as you see your K2 is nor really necessary to modify much,
if at all.

Lykke til med din K2!
