[Elecraft] KPA100 kit upgrade - now taking orders

We recently upgraded the KPA100 kit to better handle difficult load conditions,
as well as to allow its use on 60 meters. New KPA100 kits are already shipping
with these changes. Existing KPA100's can be upgraded using the mod kit, order
#KPA100MODKT ($19). The upgrade kits will be shipped starting on April 2.

Even if you're not planning to use the KPA100 on 60 meters, you might still want
to upgrade your KPA100 to keep it current. Also, once it's upgraded, you'll be
able to use a new KPA100 firmware revision that rolls back power less
agressively (see IMPORTANT NOTE, below).

To see whether your KPA100 kit has the most recent changes, look at your KPA100
manual. If it's revision C, you have the upgrade already. The other way to tell
is to look at toroid L18. It has been replaced with a jumper in conjunction with
other changes.

(I know, I know: one less toroid to wind!)

--------------
IMPORTANT NOTE
--------------

There is a new revision of firmware available for the KPA100, revision 1.09,
which starts power roll-back at an SWR of 2:1 rather than 1.5:1. This may be
useful for some operators. You can continue to use the present KPA100 firmware
if you prefer the more conservative 1.5:1 roll-back level.

There are two requirements for using the revision 1.09 KPA100 firmware:

 - your KPA100 must include the latest circuit changes described above
   (order #KPA100MODKT)

 - your KPA100 must have the upgraded shield installed, which includes
ground clips for the side panels (order #KPA100SHLDKT)
