Hi
The rear panel should be countersunk for the flat head screws. The =
counter sink is in the inside of the panel and the nuts go on the =
outside. If your panel is not countersunk on the inside you have a =
problem. You can countersink them yourself with the proper tool or get a =
new panel from Elecraft.

Subject: [Elecraft] KPA100 - Do I have a screw (or two) loose?
Hi all
I'm building my KPA100 and I've got to the stage where I'm assembling
the back panel. The instructions (and the drawing) for attaching the
power connector (J3) tell me that I ought to use FLATHEAD screws, nuts
and split washers on the E piece. I have 2 problems:
1. The holes for these screws are NOT countersunk so that if I use
falthead screws they don't seat properly on the panel.
2. If I do use flathead screws and washers I cannot get the nuts on
because the screws aren;t long enough to leave any thread revealed.
If I use panhead screws everything is OK.
Am I missing something obvious?
cheers
