Hi John,
We will not be eliminating the BNC jack holes in the top cover. Those not using
them for transverter I/O can use them for something else, or just leave the
painted masking tape covering them. On my K2 I use one of them as a 12V
unswitched accessory output, powered by either the battery or the rig's power
supply.
