Great job Jim! I had a lot of fun in my first "contest" ever. I've been in and around ham radio for lots of years, but I honestly never got into contesting because I didn't think I could even begin to seriously compete. I've learned different this past weekend. I only worked a hand full of stations, but I really had fun and I actually could feel the excitement. This was due in large because I felt "welcomed" by two of the ops you named above. I worked VE1RGB, Gary and K6SE, Earl in the final minutes of the contest. They both dropped it down a notch for me and we made our exchanges with no problems. Thanks to those guys and others for a great experience! BTW, I was using my K1 #679 without the gutters for an ant. Hi. I was "uptown" with an attic dipole probably about 15 feet up! So I guess, whatever works..use it! Thanks for the bw, just wanted to comment.
