Your assessment of the drawing is correct. However, it is perfectly fine to
wind both primary and secondary in the same direction. It is easier, looks
better, and causes no adverse effects.

"On the drawing of the toroid ( page 11 ) the secondary winding is shown
wound in the opposite sense to the primary winding ( primary wound
clockwise and secondary wound anti-clockwise ). Is this correct? as I'm
damned if I can get the thing to look anything like right, or to wind it at
all...
