Hello:

I've done this as well ! Lots of smoke and quickly shut the power supply
off. It just burnt a trace apart and didn't blow a thing - got real lucky. I
just made a bridge for the trace and all was well.

the damage was caused by me replacing the 100w pa without removing the side
panel and trapping the 12v +line to ground
the supplied 20 amp fuse held nicely as the track filled the room with
smoke!
I will probably fit a self resetting fuse on that line in the near future
when i order up some new goodies from elecraft
