Here are a few tricks I use on the masking tape. Remove the large square =
of masking tape from the heat sink and stick it on the bottom cover to =
insulate the BFO toroid. Do not remove the masking tape from the back =
panel that covers the holes for the options. Use a knife to cut out just =
the tape for the options you are going to install. This will keep the =
mounting holes covered, the back looks better and will keep out dust. I =
use an xacto knife to remove the little squares of masking tape on the =
panels. Just cut in under the paint on corner of the tape and lift it =
with the knife blade. I also use a small square of 1/16 inch thick =
double stick foam to mount T2 and RFC11. It is important to keep T2 up =
off of the board about 1/16 inch and to dress the toroid leads as shown =
in the manual to improve the power out on 10 meters.

On panel final assembly, page 29, the larger of the two allen wrenches =
that comes with the kit makes a good blunt instrument to push the=20
masking tape away from the front panel.
