Folks

I have received SO many requests for more information
I decided it would be OK to take up a little bandwidth
here.

I apologize in advance to the overseas guys who have
to download this...

I am selling these batteries to Elecrafters at $4
each.

Battery size: 7" W, 1-1/4" D, 2-1/4" H, not including
terminals. Batteries weigh 2.1 pounds each. I do
NOT know how this compares size-wise to the more
powerful PowerSonic battery used in the K2.

To keep them charged, you apply voltage to them
between 13.5 and 13.8 Volts like most gel-cells.

You can also 'fast charge' them at 14.4 to 15 V, but
you must limit current to 580 mA.

Batteries have standard 'sta-kon' type terminals which
accept both 3/16" and 1/4" female terminals. I charge
and load-test each battery, by hand, to make certain
there are no duds.

This is the URL for the spec sheet on the battery:

Now, here's the catch: the shipping is what gets you
... I send these via the best way, which, like
Elecraft does, is domestic Priority Mail. It's $10
for the first battery and $4 for each additional. I
don't have any information about how much it would
cost to send these outside the lower 48, and even if I
did I don't think it would be worthwhile.

I take PayPal at this address.
