[Elecraft] K2 key click ?

Hi folks: yet another question from yours truly. I've completed my K2 to
Phase 2 on the RF board, and listened to my first signals. I've greatly
enjoyed playing with the keyer--my first time with paddles...so much so that
I've been reluctant to tear the rig apart again to finish it!! I notice,
however, a very noticeable key click in my ear phones at the beginning of
every morse letter. This is not discernible when the AF gain is fully
counterclockwise and I'm listening only to the sidetone. It is, however,
very apparent when the AF gain is turned up. Can anyone explain whats going
on here? Is this related to the "key click issue" being discussed otherwise,
and might it disappear upon eventually doing the key click mod?? I'd like to
get rid of it.
