[Elecraft] S-Meter Setup for the KX1

Hi, Folks,

KX1 serial #500 makes noise now.  It can even be coherent depending on the
operator.

I have to admit I am completely S-Meter (bar) setup challenged.  I can get
the first light to light, or I can get all the bars to light, but I can
never see any movement of the bars.  When I'm trying to adjust the "zero", I
can't see anything but arcane numbers in the display.  When I'm trying to
set "scale" (what does that mean?), I see H0 through 7, but never any bars
to say that's where it belongs.  I am confused.  Tom Hammond is probably
writing the definitive clarification for us all to use and understand.  If
he isn't, how 'bout a write-up, Tom?  There must be a system in this
madness.

Anyone want to try to explain the system to me?
