Ken,

I'm not sure that will do it. I'm pretty sure the KX1 *sidetone* and 
the *TX offset* are not controlled by the same components. The TX 
offset cannot be changed from 600 Hz, according to the manual, but I 
wonder if that is a wiring/component thingy or something in the 
firmware.

Maybe time for the "A-Team" to chime in: Eric, Wayne or Gary?  Comments 
please.... Can the TX offset on the KX1 be changed from 600Hz to 500Hz 
even if it requires changing a component?
