When I built my K1,I think it was suggested that you spin themseveral
times,maybe I'm wrong but it rings a bell somewhere in my Pee brain!72' john

That's completely normal behavior for the trimmers. As they come from the
factory, new trimmers sometimes require "seating" by spinning the rotors
several times. Once that's done, they are fine. My K2 is almost four years
old and hasn't had a single sign of any instability once I 'seated' and
adjusted the trimmers.

that sounded kinda crazy - but - at this point after checking the trimmer
installations and finding no problems - what did I have to lose?
After rotating the trimmers a bunch of times - Whammo - Peaking was there
and now have a solid 5 watts on 20 meters!
Not sure exactly what was going on with the trimmers for sure - I did not
overheat them when I soldered them (I use a Haeko Temp controlled station) -
But - It works!
Any explanation on exactly what was going on with the trimmers?
Thanks again and now on to the ATU build!
