Well, the fix for the VOX hum on my K2 was grounding
the mic jack. Easy fix. 

The KAT2 started dropping out showing "not inst".
Powering the radio off then on would bring it back up.
I was baffled after a thorough inspection of the KAT2
and adjacent circuits, I emailed Gary about this
problem. He replied that a few of the 4mHz resonators
for the AUX BUS have gone off frequency. Sure enough,
placing a 3pf cap across one side of the KAT2's Z1
fixed it.

Now if can figure out how to increase the bass
response on LSB TX with hardware...
