[Elecraft] K2 Transmitter Alignment

Hello All,
Further to my K2 transmitter alignment failure on 20/30m, I had removed =
all relays to make sure they were latching correctly. I removed all =
inductors so I could check capacitors and shorts-to-ground in both the =
BPF and LPF circuits. All was well.
I reinstalled everything in order to try tips from Don and Tom. First =
off, I went through receiver alignment. About the time I felt like I =
was going to screw the L8 slug clean through the floor, I peaked a 20m =
CW signal. Adjusting L9 gave more peak. I am now listening to signals =
on 20m and 30m.
While I have built many kits and consider myself a good solderer, this =
exercise smacks of poor construction somewhere and for the life of me I =
couldn't see any problems with cold solder joints or bridges. However, =
when you put the same parts back in a circuit and the circuit works, =
well. . . there you go.
Thanks for all the help.
73, Joe, aa4nn
