Also, if you notice the first few turns aren't as tight as the rest of
the coil, you can wind 2 extra turns at the end and then remove the
first 2 (keeping the correct number of turns). I agree that you should
have plenty of wire for all coils.
Winding a coil on an oatmeal box is harder, mainly because you have to
eat a lot of oatmeal before the box is empty!
