[Elecraft] KX1 Maiden Voyage [Knob]

would you share details about your KX1 knob?

About the knob, I have this problem! I can never leave a rig stock and
particularily the main tunning knob. Don't get me wrong the KX1's VFO is
perfectly good. But for spinning around the SWL freqs it's a kinda awkard
IMHO.Where as a knob with finger hole for spinning is kinda nice. My source
for the knob was at work we (make test equipment) so I asked the engineer in
industrial design dept. if they had any 'scrap spinner knobs' He gave me a
strange look then handed me a couple 'samples' . It slips right on the
encoder like it was made for it and sets a little lower in height as well.
BUT there's NO set screw so it comes off as easily! During transport I
remove it.You're probably wondering 'Where can more be obtained?' Good
question? I think it's custom? But it would seem there's other knob MFGs
that would have something simular? GL - Steve/n0tu
