I think in your example of the slowest tuning rate, tapping Band would =
cause
the display to sequence 7, then 041, then 1.40. Tom W0MFQ KX1 # 307

It works automatically for the slower tuning rates too. Say you are on
7041.4 KHz as displayed in the slowest tuning rate. Tapping MHz will =
cause
the display to show 7, then it will automatically show 041, and finally
41.4.
