[Elecraft] K1 receiver crystal question

Hi all,

I just realigned the BFO and transmit offset on my K1 (to get a 
different sidetone) and while inside noticed that crystals X1-X4 on the 
main board (receiver section) are not grounded.  This K1 was not built 
by me and I was wondering what the effects of not grounding these 
crystals might be?  I have been making contacts so it does work but 
would the receiver work better if they were grounded?
