Hey Rod - I had the same experience with KX1 #360. Nice peak on 20, but =
no peak on 40 with good receive. After installing the 30m module and =
repeaking all three bands there was now a nice discernable peak on each. =
Good luck!

Hi All,
KX1 #308 is alive and well, well almost! Receive on 20M =
peaked
up nicely but I could not peak up 40M. It seems sensitive on that band
though, I could copy a CW signal on the KX1 that was not moving the S =
meter
needle on my Kenwood R5000. Not very scientific I know but very =
comforting
in the circumstances. I will be able to check it out when I receive my =
XG1,
hopefully everything will be ok. Comments anyone?
Transmit worked out very well, 3.69W on 40M and 3.58W on =
20M,
(Gel Cel @ 13V) this was achieved after some fiddling with L2. Power
calculations were done via K9FZJ's power calc spread sheet, it makes =
power
calculation a breeze! Thanks Dave.
I am looking forward to my first QSO's with this rig, by the
way, I had a listen to the Voice of Turkey from Ankara last night on =
15195
at 13:35.
Next up are the 30M module and the ATU to be followed by the
paddle.
