[Elecraft] XG1 battery holder question

Bob:
The correct battery holder will exactly fit within the silk-screened outline
on the pc board and the pins will drop into the holes on the pcb.  It is
possible that the mounting pins were bent down.  Does your battery holder
match the outline screened on the pcb?   If your battery holder does not
match the pcb outline and/or the pins don't match the holes when bent up,
then your suspicion is correct.  Elecraft will send you a new one.
Unfortunately, I don't think you will find a substitute at Radio Shack.
