Stuart,

Over here lead based solder, such as Ersin Multicore is being phased
out. maplin Electronics..our equivilaent of Radio Shack...no longer
stock it..we have to put up with some Japanese Silver based 1mm diameter
stuff...they seem not to stock 22swg any more----Luckly I found a reel
in my garage today so I am sorted for when I start melting solder
again.....i must start my K2 soon when I can find the time...

Its another example of the euro politics we have over here...no one
asked me if I wanted lead free solder..or millimeters instead of
SWG....I would have voted against it......we just have to put up with
it...sooner or later we will have to have Euro Callsigns, the code will
be banned because not everyone understands it. And we will all have to
speak Esperanto and all have similar aerials.

Dammit...I think I want to become an American........

Yours,

Tounge in cheek,

Steve
